Kitten Adoption Process
We care deeply about the animals in our care and do everything in our power to place the kittens in the best possible homes. When inquiring about our kittens, we ask appropriate questions to ascertain whether or not we have a kitten that will be a good fit. We like to know about other animals and other members of the household. We have the right to refuse sale of any of our kittens. We only ever act in the best interest of our animals, and do our very best to provide everybody with the perfect match.
When breeding animals, we feel it is our duty to ensure the animals we bring into this world always have a home. This is why we are so careful in our matching process. If at any time you cannot keep your kitten, you must notify us before rehoming and give us the first right to take the kitten or cat back. This does not mean that we will always take back the cat, for instance if you showed us your cat was going to be placed in a loving home.
Before going home, all of our kittens will be vaccinated and dewormed. They are sent with their TICA papers. You also get a month of free pet health insurance through Trupanion.
After we have agreed upon your choice of kitten, I will accept a deposit through Zelle or Apple Pay. I will then ask you to sign our sale agreement. It is here for your reference.
If no kittens are currently available but you’d like to be placed on a waiting list, a deposit agreement will be sent to you which is separate from the agreement below.
KITTEN SALE AGREEMENT - PET
This agreement is between Seller (“Seller”) Arabella Van Patten of Royalist Ragdolls and Purchaser(“Purchaser”)

Health
The kitten will have its FVRCP vaccine and at least one round of deworming medication administered prior to the final sale of the kitten. The kitten will be visibly alert and healthy at time of sale.
The kitten will not have any hereditary medical conditions, such as HCM or PKD. If the kitten is found to have any hereditary illness within its first year, the seller will provide the purchaser with a replacement kitten subject to availability after being notified. Notification needs to include appropriate proof from a licensed veterinarian of the illness and cause.

Right of Refusal
Seller reserves the right to refuse sale at any point prior to pickup. Motivation for refusing sale will be solely based on the best interest of the kitten. If the seller decides to refuse sale, a full refund of the deposit will be made back to the purchaser, at which time this agreement will be null and void.

Ownership
After the purchaser has paid in full, they will be the sole owner of their kitten(s). If at any time the purchaser feels as though they cannot care for the kitten/cat, Royalist Ragdolls will have the first right to take the kitten/cat back. Any rehoming done thereafter will be executed as advantageously as possible for the kitten/cat, ensuring their safety and wellbeing. If Royalist Ragdolls does not feel it is necessary to take the kitten/cat back, the purchaser will ensure that the kitten/cat is rehomed appropriately.

Ownership Responsibilities
Purchaser agrees to keep the cat in a humane environment, pursuant to Code of Virginia § 3.2-6503 guidelines. Kittens need to be spayed/neutered by 1 year old. Purchaser agrees to provide proof of spay/neuter procedure.
